About Cerezo, Inc.
Family-owned landscape construction serving the Coachella Valley.
Cerezo, Inc. is a family-owned landscape construction company serving the Coachella Valley. We build and maintain outdoor spaces that hold up in desert heat — for homeowners, and alongside general contractors and landscape designers.
We take pride in the quality of the work and in showing up the same way on every job. Our services include Residential Construction, Residential Maintenance, Irrigation, Hardscape, Artificial Turf, Drainage Installation, Landscape Lighting, and Collaborative Construction — partner-oriented work with general contractors and landscape designers.
Named projects across La Quinta and Palm Springs — including The Estancias, Tradition Golf Club, The Estates, and Vista Las Palmas — reflect the standard we aim for: clean install, clear communication, and landscapes built for this valley.
Our story
Cerezo, Inc. began as a small 2-person residential landscape maintenance company called Cerezo Gardening Services, founded by Miguel Torres Sr. and his son Miguel Torres Jr. The father and son duo started by maintaining residences and expanded into landscape construction.
Miguel Torres Sr. decided to forge his own path doing what he loves — creating beautiful landscapes — after being laid off from a well-known landscape construction company due to the economic collapse in 2008. He was a top foreman at that company and brings more than 40 years of experience in the industry.
Miguel Torres Jr. started working in landscape during high school summers around age 16 and already had landscape experience because he worked for the same company Sr. did. In and around 2008, as that era closed and they built Cerezo together, he followed in his father’s footsteps on their entrepreneurial journey. With about 20 years of landscape experience, he obtained his landscape contractor license — passing the California Contractors State License Board exam and cementing him as the C-27 landscape contractor for Cerezo, Inc.
Despite early challenges, the company persevered, educated itself, and incorporated in 2018 as a CSLB-licensed landscape construction company. The company remains family-owned to this day.
Values
- Relationships — Building bonds with clients, contractors, designers, and employees. Some of the general contractors and designers we build with have brought us back job after job for years. We keep them and the homeowner in the loop as the job moves, from the first bid to the last change order.
- Quality — Sourcing solid materials and professionals for high standards of excellence. We build to the plan, set out plants and boulders for the designer's or homeowner's approval before they go in the ground, and give new plants drip or deep-watering irrigation. New plants, trees and irrigation we install come with written warranty terms in every proposal.
- Integrity — Honesty and transparency in all dealings. Every proposal spells out what's included, and anything outside it is priced as a written change order signed by both parties. Estimates are free.
